Our Story

The Meaning of the name

“Apero” is a Yoruba word that means gathering, meeting, or dialogue.
“Mekunu” means the common people, the masses, The Average people.
Together, Apero Mekunu translates to “a gathering or dialogue of the common people in Oyo state.”
It symbolizes a grassroots movement where ordinary citizens have a voice and a platform to push for fairness, justice, and empowerment.
